The official social media accounts for PlayStation were hacked last night by hacking group OurMine, who took over their Twitter and Facebook accounts for a brief period before being locked out.

As far as hackings go, OurMine didn't do anything too drastic – just posted a few tweets urging PlayStation to contact them, and claiming that PlayStation Network Databases had been leaked.

They followed up by stating that they wouldn't share the information.

OurMine is the same group which recently hacked HBO's Game of Thrones social media accounts. The group is well-known for hacking high profile accounts.

"Hi, OurMine are here, we are just testing your security, HBO team please contact us to upgrade the security," they posted at the time of the GoT hack.

Their post came just days after 'Beyond the Wall' – the penultimate episode in series seven – was leaked online after it accidentally aired on HBO Spain a few days before its official premiere.

The final episode of this series is also under threat of being leaked, so HBO might want to heed OurMine's warning to upgrade their security – as might PlayStation, for that matter.

While OurMine describe themselves as 'White Hat Hackers', claiming that their only purpose is to point out flaws in company's online presence and to advise on improvements, the latest onslaught of hacks probably means that all companies are on high alert at the moment.
