The Coyotes winger, who was arrested at a local Arizona establishment back in April, is the latest high-profile figure to learn that your celebrity status isn’t exactly a get-out-of-jail-free card.
Five months after he was refused entry into the Bevvy, a popular cocktail lounge in Scottsdale, TMZ released video footage of Panik’s drunken arrest, and it’s not a good look. The former Blackhawk, who reportedly refused to leave the Bevvy’s entrance after he was denied entry, failed to cooperate with the responding officers before using the ill-advised “I play for the Coyotes” card, several times.

As you can see, Panik’s attempts at refusing arrest didn’t stop there. Just before he had the cuffs slapped on his wrists, Panik can be heard saying, “I know my law,” which obviously didn’t sit well with one of the responding officers.
“OK, you might know your law but I’m a law enforcement officer, so I think I know what I’m talking about,” said the officer.
Panik pled guilty on Wednesday to charges of criminal trespass, according to TMZ, and he’s been ordered to complete a diversion program. He’s reportedly due back in court on Sept. 5.
