Plane crashes at Newport News airport, no injuries reported
A plane has crashed at Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport, according to Virginia State Police.
The crash was called in to emergency responders at around 8:05 a.m. According to Virginia State Police, preliminary investigations showed a small jet was attempting to land on the runway, but it skidded off. There were no reported injuries for the three passengers, and there was minimal damage, police said.
No other information was available Wednesday morning.
In early October, a pilot was killed and two others were seriously injured in another crash at the same airport.
