Victims identified in deadly Arkansas plane crash
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A small plane crashed outside Marianna, Arkansas, killing two people Sunday night, Arkansas State Police said.
The victims were identified by police as Joseph Bryant, 72, and Sharon Bryant, 73.
The single-engine plane’s wreckage was found around 9:30 p.m. in a field in Lee County, about 12 miles southwest of Marianna.
State police say the two victims killed in the crash were in a privately-owned plane from out of state and were en route to an airport in Arkansas. Witnesses told police the plane was traveling from Florida to an airport in Batesville.
Relatives contacted the Helena-West Helena Police Department around 8 p.m. when they had not heard from the people on the plane, state police said.
