According to police, eight to 10 of these signs have been vandalized in recent days.

“Defacing signs and being overtly threatening like that takes away from their cause and it creates this divisiveness,” said Shawn Brokos, director of Community Security for the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh. “That we don’t need in our Pittsburgh community, whether you’re Jewish or not.”

Police are encouraging victims to call 911 to report it and share any video evidence.

There are no suspects at this time, but police said they are working with state and federal partners and have increased patrols in the area.
