Hurricane Dorian just slammed into the Bahamas and will make its way to the Florida coast tonight.

Harrowing images from the destruction have started to make their way onto social media and newscasts.

Celebrity Chef José Andrés made his way Sunday to the Bahamas and his charity has “kitchens ready to go and shelters mapped out."

Andrés shared footage of himself where he said he was around 80 miles away from the eye of the storm.

"Let's pray for everybody" the chef says in the video. The footage is scary as the 180 mph winds rages around him as he addresses the public.
