Pinpoint Weather: Wet, cooler weekend ahead

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Rain and a few thunderstorms will continue into the day on Saturday. Between showers, areas of drizzle and mist are expected.

Rainfall could be heavy at times during the day on Saturday with lighter rain expected on Sunday. If heavy rain travels over the same areas, low-lying flooding could become an issue.

Due to the clouds and rain that are expected on Saturday, temperatures will run well below average. High temperatures are likely to occur early in the day with temperatures holding steady or falling throughout the daytime hours.

Temperatures will rebound slightly on Sunday with rain chances continuing. Typical spring hit-or-miss showers and storms are possible every day next week as temperatures return to the 80s.
