Pinpoint Weather: Rain on the way

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Clouds will increase through the day on Friday with showers and a few thunderstorms possible by the afternoon. Off-and-on rain is expected on Saturday.

Ahead of a cold front that will move through this weekend, temperatures will remain warm on Friday with temperatures for many locations in the 80s.

Rain could be heavy, at times, during the day on Saturday west of the Blue Ridge and possibly Sunday as well, especially east of the Blue Ridge. Over the next five days, rainfall of 0.75″ and 1.5″ is expected.

Cloudy conditions are expected over the weekend with rain moving in which will cool temperatures down into the 70s for daytime highs. With at least some sunshine returning next week, temperatures will again warm into the 80s and possibly near 90 on Wednesday.
