Pinpoint Weather: Rain returns starting Friday

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Showers and storms will return Friday afternoon, continuing off and on through Saturday. Right now, the severe weather potential looks low.

Heavy rain is possible on both Friday and Saturday. Flooding could be a concern, especially in areas that saw heavy rain earlier this week.

Temperatures will return to near-average levels on Friday with highs in the 70s for many. Temperatures will start the day 50s and 60s with areas of fog possible.

Temperatures will drop slightly over the weekend due to the rain. Dry conditions will return for Monday and Tuesday which allow temperatures to start increasing again. Scattered showers and storms are possible on Wednesday and Thursday.
