Pinpoint Weather: Rain returns overnight
ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Rain will return to the region overnight and continue into the day on Tuesday. A few thunderstorms will be possible during the afternoon, but severe weather is not expected.
Rain could be heavy at times, especially along and east of the Blue Ridge where 1 to 2 inches is expected. Elsewhere, up to one inch is possible through Wednesday.
Due to the increase in clouds and rain, temperatures will be held down on Tuesday with many areas staying in the 60s.
Tuesday will be the coolest day of the week with temperatures returning to the 70s again on Wednesday with highs near 80 expected on Friday.
