Pinning ceremonies for Vietnam-era veterans will happen today and tomorrow

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)–In celebration of National Vietnam War Day, Jackson, Grand Rapids, and Detroit are hosting pinning ceremonies.

Officials with The Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency (MVAA), say events will include, an Honor Guard, and a brief speech from MVAA Director and Marine Veteran Brian Love.

Organizers say Vietnam Veterans welcome those who served active duty between Nov. 1, 1955, to May 15, 1975, whether they served in-country or in-theater, or stationed elsewhere.

The event will take place in Jackson at the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 109 at 2:30 p.m. located at 235 W. Franklin Street.
