Piggly Wiggly donates golf tournament proceeds to Victory Health in Mobile
MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Grocery store Piggly Wiggly donated money raised from its Victory Golf Classic to non-profit healthcare organization Victory Health Partners.

According to a press release, the store donated $30,000.
Supporters’ tax-deductible contributions fund the organization.

Officials with Victory Health Partners say donations like this aid their mission to provide “affordable quality care for the low-income uninsured population of the greater Mobile area.”
“With the help and financial support of our partners, Victory serves those who ‘fall through the cracks’ in our medical system,” the Victory Health release said.
The non-profit was started in 2003 by Dr. Robert D. Lightfoot and his wife Tami, who, after participating in mission trips, wanted to establish affordable and high-quality adult primary care in their community. The clinic is supported by a team of business and healthcare professionals, volunteers, and Mobile Infirmary.
Although based in Mobile, the non-profit healthcare organization helps patients from over 25 counties in Alabama, 11 in Mississippi, and eight in Northwest Florida.
“The support of our partners is essential to our success in meeting our mission to minister to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the medically underserved,” the release notes.
