Piers Morgan Ruthlessly Picks on 11-Year-Old Cruz Beckham

Good Morning Britain co-host Piers Morgan is not shy about voicing his opinions, and he’s directed his denunciations against everyone from Madonna to Kim Kardashian to Emily Ratajkowski to Jennifer Aniston.

The latest target of his criticism is none other than David and Victoria Beckham’s 11-year-old son, Cruz Beckham. Cruz recently released his debut single, “If Everyday Was Christmas,” on iTunes, with all proceeds from sales going to Global’s Make Some Noise — a charity supporting disadvantaged youth in the U.K.

Lavishing praise on his youngest son, David Beckham wrote, “Not his average morning before school…Proud of my little man with his new Christmas single and also helping children around the U.K. with the proceeds from this…”

Morgan, however, was not impressed with the youngster’s debut, calling the situation “sickening” and stating that “Cruz should be in school.” He assails the youngster further in his column for the Daily Mail by writing, “For what it’s worth, I’d say that Cruz sounds like most other 11-year-old boys who fancy themselves as singers: fairly squeaky and quite annoying. If Cruz had a genius natural musical and performing talent like Michael Jackson, then fair enough. But he doesn’t.”

He added, “He’s only been able to release such a high-profile pop record — all in the name of ‘charity,’ naturally — because his parents are David and Victoria Beckham.”

Placing the blame squarely on Cruz’s parents, Morgan writes, “They’ve sold their souls to the commercial devil so many times they’ll soon have gold horns sprouting from their shoulder blades.”

Cruz’s burgeoning singing career is being managed and nurtured by Justin Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun. Morgan engaged in a Twitter war with Braun, writing, “He’s an 11yr-old child being cynically pimped out by his famous parents with your collusion. Be proud Scooter!”
