Of the twenty-five High School teams who spent three days competing in the University of Southern Maine Model United Nations competition (MeMUNC), Portsmouth High School (PHS) took home six awards and was the only New Hampshire competing school.

MeMUNC celebrated its twenty-fifth year of hosting high school students as a student run class/project for University of Southern Maine.  A Model UN conference mimics the major United Nations committees with each school representing the interests of the assigned countries on specific questions. The 400 high school competitors, representing 111 countries, researched the topics, prepared position statements, made resolutions, engaged in amendments before final conference voting.
