"E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial" released On June 11, 1982, the Steven Spielberg sci-fi movie "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" opened. Starring Drew Barrymore in one of her earliest roles, and Peter Coyote as an evil government scientist, the movie revolves around actor Henry Thomas, who plays the 10-year-old Elliot, a boy who makes friends with an adorable alien with a glowing orange finger.
