The poultry industry

An egg without an embryo glows red among fertilized eggs in an incubator at a poultry farm in the village of Pesochnaia Buda, some 330 km (206 miles) southeast of Minsk, June 11, 2013. The farm produces 500,000 chicks per month and a yearly output of 11,000 tons of meat. Chicken meat is very popular among Belarusians due to its low price, compared to pork and beef, local media reported. (REUTERS/Vasily Fedosenko)
