These zoo animals take on an altogether more sinister look after posing for a set of moody black and white portraits.
Alex Teuscher has brought out the dark side in a range of exotic creatures including tigers, rhinos and elephants with his artistic project which took two years to complete.
More than 200 photographs were taken to get the perfect set, which was snapped at zoos in Singapore and Switzerland.
Alex's subjects also include a baboon, a grey crown crane, a green tree python and a Malay fish owl.
Amazingly Alex, 31, from Geneva, Switzerland, only got into photography three years ago when his father gave him an old SLR camera. (BNPS)
