Since the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963 in Dallas, Texas, the world has paid tribute to the man and his presidency. Since his funeral nearly 50 years ago, countless public spaces including bridges, streets, piazzas, airports, stadiums and buildings have adorned his name. According to Arlington Cemetary Visitors Information, in the first 3 years after his death alone, an estimated 16 million people had visited his gravesite.
