Photos: IKEA's first cultural mash-up fuses Scandinavian and Chinese design

For the first time, IKEA is explicitly merging its iconic Scandinavian aesthetic with the design tradition of another culture: China's. The limited-edition Trendig collection will be available in stores only for a few months, but the company's head of design says this is "just a starting point for a new behavior within IKEA."
