Josh B: Look, my parents kept a garden and I had to weed it as a teen. It sucked. NEVER doing it again. hats off to anyone who can farm. But framing is going to keep getting more difficult and the landscape for it will keep changing. We will always need farms. It isn't something like Coal where we are set to phase it out long term. Only an idiot, and I mean someone on Trumps level of stupid, would even consider attacking the institution of farming. But, perhaps ironically, the farming landscape is going to change, and as with anything under a 'free market' there is no mercy for those who cannot adapt or keep up. Family farms may indeed get phased out. However if that happens it is simply because we don't have the regulation in place to help support them and push them past long term. Because we don't have the right nets to prop up people who need them while they figure out how they will adapt and move forwards. So, in short. Blame the GOP for failing farms.
