Ralph: Some words are stolen by a movement and never have the same meaning again. Take the word "gay" for example. And the Irish leprechauns have lost their monoply on the rainbow and it now means something different. But what about the term "common sense"? Can you see what is being done to it? The real meaning of common sense is that it is enough to suffice. No laws are needed and it isn't something that can be legislated. If you want to say that you need some common sense gun laws, you are not talking about banning and restricting the right to own and carry a gun. The court recently ruled that every person has the right to do that. How you can regulate them is to say that they have the right to carry a gun, but not in their bare hand with their arm raised, on a crowded street. And you can say that a guy can walk down the street with a gun on his hip in a holster, but he can't walk into a courtroom with it, when the accused killer of his child is on trial. These are the restrictions the court alluded to.
