Heavy fog covers NYC skyline


Days after record-breaking cold sent the city into a deep freeze early in the week, temperatures climbed back into the the upper 40s creating dense fog across the New York City skyline.

The fog spurred the National Weather Service to make a dense fog advisory. It had been issued because visibility had dropped to a quarter of a mile or less in many areas overnight.
