A Mediterranean diet could save your life!

A Mediterranean diet could save your life!

Studies show that a Mediterranean diet is more effective in warding off heart disease and strokes than even a low-fat diet.

A Mediterranean diet is rich in greens, uses olive oil and contains nuts. Every meal has at least one green component, so fill up on plants! Use olive oil while cooking and opt for a handful of nuts to snack on instead of reaching for fatty junk food. Replace hard alcohol with a glass of red wine, and you can indulge in up to seven glasses a week! The Med diet is also rich in lean meat – fish and chicken rather than red meat.

Make these few small changes to tremendously improve your heart-health and longevity. Full story here.
