Greenpeace activists jailed in Russia

Three members of Greenpeace, including two activists and a photographer, have been put in a Russian jail for their participation in a 30-person protest on September 18. The group was protesting near an oil rig and attempted to scale a ship, but the Coast Guard seized the ship the following day and towed it to Murmansk. Photographer Denis Sinyakov and Greenpeace spokesman Roman Dologov are both Russian, while campaigner Paul Ryzincki is Canadian.
