I Am What I Am: Good for Trump. Since day 1 I have been telling anyone willing to listen that his first priority in this election is to get noticed, whether in a good or bad way. It doesn't matter to him. His first book specifically states that you have to be noticed before you can gain followers. If you are the best guitarist in the world, nobody will notice if you just play by yourself in a garage. Piss off the neighbours and get a news story written about you, and people who read the story will inevitably check out your music on youtube or wherever. Once you get the attention and hopefully the followers , you can soften the edges somewhat and start doing what it is you really wanted to do. So he's certainly gotten the media's attention, a majority of it either negative or mockery, but he's gone way further than any of the so called expert pundits ever imagined in their wildest dreams. And guess what, now that he has the attention he knew he needed, it's time to start softening the edges while still addressing the country's major issues starting wth illegal immigration, jobs and the national debt. You can bet that the world leaders are watching intently as to the ebbs and flows of this election, and preparing for the possible eventuality of having to deal with Donald Trump instead of Hillary Clinton in trade deals and national security issues. Mexico is the first great example of this. Better to invite Trump to Mexico before his speech Wednesday night and come up with a pragmatic strategy instead of waiting for a potential crap show after November. Another example is Russia. Hillary wants to keep Russia in isolation and refer to Putin as a dictator etc. Well Russia happens to be going full tilt in fighting ISIS, and backing Syria's current government while doing so. Hillary's foreign policy doesn't allow for the US to be respectful to governments they don't care for, and would rather support an overthrow. She obviously hasn't learned her lessons from Iraq and Libya. When Trump says he can get along with Putin, Hillary and her socialist followers start hyperventilating that Trump supports dictators etc. It will be a truly interesting next few months leading up to November.
