Fidel Castro appears in public, 1st time in months

Cuban news media say former President Fidel Castro has appeared in public for the first time since April, 2013.

The Communist Party newspaper Granma reports that the 87-year-old Castro appeared Wednesday, January 8th, 2014 at the opening of a Havana art studio. (AP)
