Many New York City artists are still dealing with the shock of what Superstorm Sandy left in its path: unusable studios and homes, destroyed tools and materials, unsalvageable artworks. But others, including Gauld, are discovering a new energy and renewed creativity in its wake. The show is curated by the New York Foundation for the Arts, which is assisting artists whose livelihoods suffered storm losses.
