J M: 4 years ago when I was in Australia, I met a group of young Taiwanese graduates picking fruits for a living. I asked them why. They explained to me it's rather hard to get a job in Taiwan despite being graduates. Then I went to Hangzhou to work for a very short stint in a Taiwanese company. They were operating there for the past 20 years. My boss' friends & associates were mostly from Taiwan. I can see they are very familiar with the place & culture. Their favorite pastimes are eating, drinking, massaging, gambling & karaoke. When I got closer to some of them & enquired about their reasons to be in China, they told me opportunities are better in China than in their own country. But one thing they seldom talked about is politic.
