Sissy, an 18-year-old mongrel was saved from the brink of death thanks to Sandy the Pitbull who stepped in to save the plucky pup. Despite beating mammary cancer, Sissy was struck down with ill health again after being diagnosed with anaemia. The dog's owner, Omar Mozzi, was told his Sissy wouldn't survive until a vet made the extraordinary suggestion of a blood transfusion. Flavio and Omar frantically searched for a donor and eventually found 18-month-old Sandy the Pitbull. The unusual operation, which took place in Italy, was a success and the two pooches have since become best of friends.
