Disabled veterans sports program

The Yahoo! Sports team would like to showcase our military and a truly special sports program dedicated to disabled veterans.

The Veterans Affairs Adaptive Sports program works with disabled veterans who still have a love of sports. They coordinate six national events, provide funding for four regional events through the Valor Games series, and support high-achieving Veteran Athletes through their partnership with US Paralympics and the United States Olympic Committee.

Every year there are two sports clinics in the summer and winter. During these clinics, the program works with disabled veterans who have an interest in sports. For these veterans, a disability is never an excuse to give up on playing sports.
