 Deepor Beel Wildlife Sanctuary on the outskirts of Guwahati city, India, continues to struggle with the effect of human encroachment which has led to water pollution and the overall diminishment of its wetlands. Many species of birds such as the Greater Adjutant Stork as well as elephants depend on Deepor Beel for survival.
