Indiana Senate candidate Richard Mourdock became the latest Republican

to stir up controversy  when he said during a debate on Oct. 23 that "even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that is something that God intended to happen."  Here is a look at some other notable politicians stirring up headlines.
