'My Big Gay Illegal Wedding' Contest
Dozens of engaged same-sex couples are competing against each other for $5,000 and a trip to New York City for what the ACLU-hosted contest describes as the “the biggest, gayest, most legal wedding reception ever.” The five couples that get the most online votes for their wedding concept and love stories by Feb. 16 will win the prize. The contest is designed to raise awareness about the 33 states that still ban gay marriage by state law or amendments to their constitutions.
