A teenage wedding in Gaza

15-year-old Soboh wed 14-year-old Tala at a ceremony in Beit Lahiya, a town near the border between Israel and the northern Gaza Strip. The young Palestinian boy married his bridge in a multi-day festival, and while the reason for the two marrying at such a young age isn't explicitly known, the region is one of the most violent in the world, as shown by damage to Tala's home. Like many young brides and grooms, Soboh and Tala both come from poor families.
