On this week's episode of MashTalk, the Mashable Tech team talks about a wide range of things happening in the tech world from Android to VR to McDonald's (yes, Mickey D's) to Apple CEO Tim Cook.
I'm joined this week by our Chief Correspondent Lance Ulanoff and for the first time by our tech analyst and editor Adario Strange. It's my first time manning our podcast and I somehow didn't mess it all up!
First up is Google's newly-released Android 7.0 Nougat (2:03), which is now available for Nexus phones and tablets. Nougat's not a complete revamp, but more about inner beauty. We also discuss Android fragmentation and why Android phones that aren't in the Nexus family are so slow to get updates.
We then move to virtual reality — VEE ARRRRR (10:24). It's been about four months since the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive launched and we still haven't heard of any killer experiences that make VR a must-have. With Samsung's new Gear VR and Sony launching its PlayStation VR in a couple of months, it's a good time to take a look at the state of VR and put our bets on which one has the best chance at becoming mainstream.
The most interesting topic involves McDonald's and its short-lived Happy Meal fitness wearable (29:25). The fast food chain distributed a pedometer wristband wearable with Happy Meals last week, but within a couple of days recalled all of them after reports of people getting skin rashes from them.
And finally, we assessed Tim Cook's first five years as CEO of Apple post-Steve Jobs (35:46).

JB: LMFAO, Hillary Rotten Clinton's email scandal is her beast that won't die. I don't think a week goes by without a new story on her ever expanding scandals and corruption and lies. I'll bet this causes her minions in the liberal mainslime media more than a little discomfort. After all, the liberal mainslime media has essentially already anointed Hillary Rotten Clinton next president. But like the jackals they are, the liberal mainslime media will ALWAYS go for the jugular when a story presents itself, even if it's about their dear Hillary Rotten Clinton.
