Apr. 17—DULUTH — A gale warning remained in effect Wednesday after gusts scattered tree limbs in Northland yards and tipped a semitrailer on the Richard I. Bong Memorial Bridge on Tuesday.

The National Weather Service in Duluth forecast rain and northeast winds 15-25 mph generating waves 6-11 feet from Two Harbors to Duluth and over to Port Wing on Wednesday morning.

Thursday is forecast to reach 50 degrees with winds out of the west at 15-25 mph.

The strong wind is expected to continue Friday with gusts near 35 mph out of the west.
