This isn't now anyone expects their vacation to pan out: A family of six got what was undoubtedly the scare of their lives when the cabin they were staying in in Louisville, Kentucky was crushed by a falling tree earlier this week. Local station WKYT reported that storms with strong winds caused a tree to topple onto the house. Reporter and meteorologist Adam Burniston first shared the scary sight on Twitter.

Miraculously, all six people-who were inside the structure at the time-remain relatively unharmed. " Two of the kids were taken to Russell County Hospital, one was taken by private vehicle and none were life-threatening, and then I understand there was one of the ladies there that had chest pains, and she was also taken," Russell County Emergency Manager H.M. Bottom told the news outlet.

Photos show a terrifying scene: The wooden cabin appears crumpled, surrounded by forest-and some electrical wires. WKYT pointed out that the structure was located on a ledge, and it appears to have partially fallen downhill with the force of the tree. The station reports that structural engineers are determining the best way to deconstruct the home and remove the remains. A strong warning to anyone to always take a look at your surrounding when you're in a new location-and to remain alert during stormy weather. Our thoughts are with the family for a speedy recovery.
