Photos: Driver runs from head-on crash into Cherry Creek Reservoir

DENVER (KDVR) — The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a head-on car crash on Dam Road at Cherry Creek State Park.

The crash was reported at about 9:37 p.m. on Wednesday and appeared to involve a white sedan and a black SUV.

According to South Metro Fire Rescue, the driver of one of the vehicles ran from the crash and into the Cherry Creek Reservoir. The driver was rescued with minor injuries.

One person was also taken to a hospital with minor injuries. CSP and the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the crash’s circumstances but have not reported any arrests.
