There, they found “heavy fire” in back, burning all the way up to the attic. It took firefighters about 45 minutes to bring it under control, wrote Fire Chief Rob Campbell.

The residents escaped safely and were not injured. One firefighter suffered a minor injury, which was treated at the scene.

Firefighters currently believe a gas grill under the home’s rear deck was the cause of the fire.

The Summit County Auditor’s Office values the house at more than $600,000, according to county property records.

Several other neighboring fire departments assisted at the scene.
