Snowfall warnings are in effect for parts of eastern Ontario and southern Quebec, with between 10-20+ cm of snow expected in some places through Thursday.

Rain was the main story through Wednesday, with localized flooding and ponding on roads reported. Rainfall in Toronto led to a rise in water levels in the Don River.

But, as temperatures dropped, snow started to move in. It had quite the impact on travel, leading to slippery roads and slower commutes.

By Thursday morning, heavy, wet snow is expected to dominate in several regions, raising the risk for dangerous road conditions and causing widespread power outages, airport delays, and road closures.
