Photo shows man suspected of sexual assault in Austin

CHICAGO — Chicago police issued a warning Wednesday for residents in the city’s Austin neighborhood after a woman was sexually assaulted.

According to police, the crime occurred just after 5 p.m. last Thursday, March 14, in the 200 block of South Cicero Ave.

CPD said the victim had been getting into her vehicle when a man armed with a gun came up behind her. The unidentified man then allegedly forced the victim into the passenger seat.

Police said the man drove the victim to another location and sexually assaulted her.

Photos released on Wednesday show the suspect, who police described as a man in his 20s with a dark skin complexion, facial hair, and full lips. He was last seen wearing all-black clothing and white gym shoes.
