Phish has announced a 26-date summer tour, and two of those dates will be at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville on July 23 and 24.

Tickets go on sale March 15 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster, then will be available at the Mohegan Sun box office starting March 16. A pre-sale “ticket request” opportunity is already underway at the Phish website.

The band consists of guitarist Trey Anastasio, drummer Jon Fishman, bassist Mike Gordon and keyboardist Page McConnell and has been active since the mid-1980s. There have been 15 Phish studio albums as well as hundreds of live recordings that are archived on the band’s own LivePhish+ websites.

Phish last played Connecticut in 2022, at the Xfinity Theatre in Hartford. The band’s last Mohegan Sun appearance was a two-night stand in July of 2019. Phish, originally from Vermont, has been playing in Connecticut since at least 1989, when there was an April gig at the Nightshift in Naugatuck and a May show at Trinity College.

Various side projects by Phish’s members have played in Connecticut in recent years. The Trey Anastasio Band played this past September at Bridgeport’s Sound on Sound festival, and Mike Gordon has visited as part of Phil Lesh and Friends and other ensembles.

One of the most popular jam bands ever, Phish is known for its creativity and unpredictability, disguising itself as other bands for Halloween shows and performing stunts such as the “The Bakers’ Dozen” shows in which they played 237 different songs in 13 nights without repeating any.
