Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Carson Wentz Marries Maddie Oberg: See the First Photos
Add another ring to the mix for Super Bowl champion Carson Wentz. The prolific Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, who was injured when the team won the Super Bowl in February, married Maddie Oberg in the suburbs of the City of Brotherly Love on Saturday, July 14.
Wentz took to social media to share the first photos from his wedding day on Monday, July 16, writing: “Such a blessing to finally get to marry my best friend! It was an incredible day and God has his fingerprints all over our story! I’m a lucky man with one amazing wife.”

The pair took advantage of their hashtag—#WentzUponATime—to document the occasion held at the Lakehouse Inn in Bucks County, located about an hour distance from Center City, Philadelphia. The outdoor ceremony took place against the backdrop of the scenic Lake Nockamixon.
The inn itself is a restored and refurbished inn from the 19th century that includes guest rooms and sweeping views of the Pennsylvania countryside.
Wentz chose a pale blue suit to wed Oberg, while the bride looked lovely in a strapless lace gown. The wedding wasn’t entirely private since numerous bystanders at the popular summer destination were able to hear the entire ceremony.
One person on Facebook named Christy Stack witnessed the nuptials from her boat on the lake and shared images from afar on her page. “We could hear the whole ceremony!” she told CBS Philadelphia. “And then after ‘you may kiss the bride,'” she continued, “a guy on a kayak did the Eagles chant.“
Alongside Wentz’s many fans, the Philadelphia Eagles official social accounts also chimed in to congratulate the newlyweds. “Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Wentz!” the team message read.
The Eagles won the Super Bowl this past season, though Wentz was sidelined during the spectacle of a game. He proposed several days later at the Kentucky Castle. “And now Maddie and I both got us a ring,” he shared at the time.
