Phase II of the NFK2050 Comprehensive Plan set to begin

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The City of Norfolk will kick off Phase II of the NFK2050 Comprehensive Plan with a series of open houses.

During the open houses, residents will have the opportunity to share ideas on how the city can improve its housing, economic development, parks, resiliency, transportation, placemaking and other areas.

All seven sessions will be open-house style with a drop-in format. The times and locations of the sessions are listed below:

  • May 29, 4 – 7 p.m., Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads – Sewells Point Golf Course (660 Ruthven Rd.)

  • May 30, 5 – 8 p.m., Crossroads Community Center (8019 Old Ocean View Rd.)

  • May 31, 4 – 7 p.m., COVA Brewing Co. (9529 Shore Dr.)

  • June 1, noon – 3 p.m., Selden Market (208 E. Main St.)

  • June 3, 5 – 8 p.m., Sherwood Forest Community Center (4537 Little John Dr.)

  • June 4, 5 – 8 p.m., Richard Tucker Memorial Library (2350 Berkley Ave.)

  • June 5, 4 – 7 p.m., Poplar Hall Park Picnic Shelter (Curlew Dr.)

An online version of the workshop will be available online for those who are unable to attend in-person.
