PARMA, Ohio (WJW) – A man accused of stealing a puppy from a Parma pet store earlier this month has been arrested, but investigators say the dog is still missing.

U.S. Marshals arrested 18-year-old Markeze Williams last week, but according to the Parma Police Department, he didn’t have the stolen Olde English Bulldogge with him.

A store manager told investigators that the suspect walked into Petland asking if they had French bulldogs. After learning they didn’t have any, the suspect asked to see an Olde English Bulldogge, according to a police report.

As seen on surveillance video, the manager said she brought out a 9-month-old puppy and led the man to one of Petland’s socialization rooms. A few minutes later, the man left the store with the puppy, according to the police report.
