PETERSBURG — A senior citizen who had not been seen in two days has been found safe, police said.

An update on the police department’s Facebook page did not say when or where 72-year-old Ronnie Alexander was found, but it credited ”a community partner” for sharing his last known whereabouts ”which aided officers in finding him.” Alexander was taken to a local hospital for evaluation before being reunited with his family.

“#Community and police working together,” the Facebook post stated.

Alexander had not been seen since Thursday when he was in the 30 block of East Tabb Street downtown, police said.
