Peter Chan in awe with Leah Dou's talent

19 Sep - Hong Kong director Peter Chan was full of praises for Faye Wong's singer-songwriter daughter Leah Dou for her self-composed song, "(It's Not a Crime), It's Just What We Do".

According to Mingpao News, the director, who attended the premiere of Derek Tsang's new movie, "Soul Mate" recently, stated that Leah's song really captured the essence of the movie.

"Her understanding of the movie was completely beyond my expectation. The lyrics complement the layers of the whole story and the song is very emotional," he said.

Peter, who co-produced the music video of the song alongside Vernie Yeung, stated that Leah was able to achieve that after watching the movie twice.

In a previous interview, Leah revealed that she was able to create a song for the movie based on her understanding of the two main characters - Ansheng and July's sisterly affection towards one another.
