Peter Andre asks for help naming newborn daughter with wife Emily MacDonagh

Peter Andre has as asked fans for help in naming his fifth child after his wife Emily MacDonagh gave birth to a baby daughter on Tuesday.

The pair, who married in 2015, shared the happy news on Wednesday that they had welcomed a baby girl together, with photos taken “just minutes” after the newborn’s arrival on Instagram.

Andre shared photos of his wife holding their little one in a hospital bed, and wrote: “We feel so overwhelmed right now. So happy to welcome our beautiful girl to the family.

“Mum and daughter are doing amazing. Born Tuesday April 2 2024, 7lb 3oz and thankfully very healthy.”

Andre said the newborn baby had been “spoilt with cuddles” from his seven-year-old son, Theo, and daughter, Amelia, 10, whom he shares with MacDonagh, and 18-year-old son Junior and daughter Princess, 16 – whom he shares with his ex-wife, Katie Price.

He described all four children as being “in love with their new little sister” before adding: “As parents, we couldn’t be happier.”

There is one problem however, as he added: “Only thing is…. She has no name yet. Help!”

Andre then concluded his post by writing: “Thanks to all the doctors, midwives and staff at Musgrove Park Hospital Taunton. You were incredible. And Emily’s parents, whom I adore. You have both been incredible.

“I’m so happy. Just off to hold her. Thanks everyone for reading.”

Heartfelt messages have already been flooding in for the family on Instagram, including plenty of name suggestions for their little one with Amanda Holden suggesting Dylan and Robyn, claiming “boys names are great for girls.”

Meanwhile, TV presenter Tonia Buxton congratulated the couple and jokingly commented “Antonia is a lovely name”.

Among those sending their well wishes also was former Strictly Come Dancing pro Ola Jordan, TV star Vanessa Feltz, and former The Only Way Is Essex star, Amy Childs.

His eldest son Junior also commented under his dad's announcement, writing: “Welcome to life my beautiful little sis.”

While his daughter Princess sweetly shared a photo of her newest sibling on her Instagram Story and wrote: “My gorgeous little sister”

It comes after the couple announced their pregnancy news in October last year.
