Kaia Gerber and Pete Davidson are reportedly choosing to slow their relationship down, so he can focus on improving his mental health.

According to a new report, the couple, who first started dating in November 2019, are 'cooling things down' while Pete spends time at a treatment facility. A source at E! News explained that Pete is "taking a break to work on his mental health," which means his relationship with the model is moving to the back-burner.

According to the insider, "It became very clear that he had to go and do this and couldn't wait any longer. This is his second time seeking treatment, his first being in 2016."

Of the future of their relationship, the report continued, "She cares about Pete and wants him to get better. But their future is very much up in the air."

Neither Kaia or Pete have spoken publicly about the claims, but Cosmopolitan UK have reached out to their reps for comment.

The news comes as Pete recently spoke about checking into a rehab facility during one of his comedy shows. Via Cosmopolitan US, Pete said that he was "going on ‘vacation' but insurance pays for some of it, and they take your phone and shoelaces. And it costs $100,000 but I still have roommates."

According to an E! source, Kaia's parents Cindy and Rande have been very supportive of her throughout. "They are very involved and loving parents and they would do anything for her. They stepped in to try and guide her and to help Pete through a difficult time."

Here's to hoping everyone is getting the help and support they need.
