Pet of the Week: Bob, the friendly Terrier

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Our Pet of the Week is a one-year-old terrier named Bob.

5 victims in Mobile shooting: 1 dead, 4 injured — 1 in critical condition

Mobile SPCA officials say that Bob is a happy dog. Although it appears as though he thinks he’s a big dog, Bob loves to be held and snuggled.

According to the American Kennel Club, the terrier group is described as “fiesty and energetic.”

Terriers can range in size from small breeds including the Norfolk, Carin, or West Highland White Terrier, to larger breeds including the Airedale Terrier.

“Prospective owners should know that terriers make great pets, but they do require determination on the part of the owner because they can be stubborn; have high energy levels, and require special grooming (known as “stripping”) to maintain a characteristic appearance.”
